It's a Match!
Compound words
Students practice making compound words with this simple activity. Give a child a copy of the word cards. He cuts out the word cards and uses them to make compound words. He glues the compound words to a sheet of paper and draws a picture to represent each one.

Solving basic facts
This variation on timed math-fact drills is sure to win students’ approval! Program the problems on a drill sheet with answers—some correct and some incorrect. Make student copies of the programmed page. To complete the page, a student circles and corrects each problem with an incorrect answer.
